Radar Absorbing Properties of Barium Hexaferrite Accompanying with Cu Powders in Polymer Composite Coatings

Radar, which is an electronic and electromagnetic system that works with the use of radio waves to detect locate objects, has led need for radar absorber materials some military applications, especially defence security. In this study, barium hexaferrite copper powders were used investigate a absorbing composite material. Barium synthesized by Sol-Gel method. added polyurethane resin at different loading levels interpolate absorption property. Metal substrates covered these polymeric materials. Characterization tests such as X-Ray Diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) scratch test performed. For evaluating properties reinforced composites, Network Analyzer was used. It concluded improved activity coatings. Increasing amount in coatings, increased performance. Besides, very good synergistic effects obtained between Cu powders. The reason thought be their own individual magnetic electrical work mechanism.
